Heesen's 50-metre ALP has been delivered and is now en route to Portsmouth, UK, according to BOATPro. This follows her successful sea trials in April 2024.

Previously known as Project Jade, ALP builds on "Heesen’s legacy of fast, hard-chine aluminium yachts" and represents the yard's ability to deliver fast, sub-500GT yachts that comply with the new emission regulations.

Her sporty exterior which features "crisp design features" comes courtesy of Omega Architects, while her contemporary, cosy interiors are by Cristiano Gatto.

Accommodation is for 12 guests across five cabins, including an owner's suite on the main deck forward. There are further quarters for nine crew.

While she has two sisterships, Aquamarine and Book Ends, Heesen has said that no two yachts in the series will be the same and credits its in-house team of interior designers with creating "the most intricate designs".

Renderings reveal a number of al fresco amenities, including a well-appointed sundeck with a Jacuzzi, a lounge area, a dining space and a bar. The yacht also has a generous beach club with an unfolding swim platform and loose furniture for making the most of life at sea.

"This time-honoured maritime tradition not only forges a bond between the vessel, the shipyard, the crew, and the sea but also invokes a sense of pride and anticipation for ALP's future journeys," said Heesen CCEO Mark Cavendish. On behalf of everyone at Heesen, I would like to express our gratitude to Jim Evans and his team at SuperYachtsMonaco for their exceptional collaboration on this project."

Power comes from twin MTU 16V 4000 M65L IMO Tier III-approved engines for a top speed of 23 knots and a range of 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.

An optimised hull, minimised transom depth and creation of propeller tunnels reduces the draught to 2.2 metres, which according to Heesen results in an efficiency gain of 12 per cent compared to previous 50-metre models.

According to BOATPro, Heesen has 10 yachts currently under construction – including the 55-metre Project Venus. BOAT International recently visited Oss to discuss the build with the team at Luca Dini Design & Architecture.
