I call John Hughes of John Hughes & Associates, specialist in the sale of commercial yachts for conversion to superyachts and explorer vessels, and he tells me that he now has the 50m Polarsyssel for sale, and she has already been converted into a luxury yacht. Built in 1976 by P. Hoivolds mek Verksted in 1976, she was converted into a luxury yacht with the addition of three staterooms sleeping six guests in 2007. Now classed as a yacht, she has an icebreaker hull and carries a helicopter that can be stowed below. Polarsyssel is asking €5.995 million, although the owner is open to all serious offers.
