On June 18th I reported a hefty price cut on the 26.3m Nautor’s Swan sailing yacht Maxtar and it seems to have done the trick as her listing agent, Tim Quinlan at Nautor’s Swan UK, tells me she’s just been sold, with Bob Rodgers of R.B. Rodgers Yacht Sales introducing the buyer.

Delivered in 1989, Maxtar has been regularly maintained and a major refit in 2007 saw her receive new teak decks, new main engine and generator and numerous other equipment upgrades. Accommodating six guests in three staterooms she is, says Tim, perfect for longer distance cruises to the Pacific and beyond. Maxtar was asking €1.295 million.
