Vervece yacht

Vervece was launched yesterday in Naples, Italy

Palumbo Shipyard in Naples has launched Vervece, a former 30 metre tug converted into a luxury motor yacht.

According to the Italian yard, Vervece is virtually a new build with parts of her hull changed and a new superstructure built.

The yacht’s engine room was rebuilt and new equipment installed including engines, generators and an air-conditioning system. The original single shaft propeller was replaced with twin props – a modification visible on the picture above. Vervece is now powered by twin 746kW Cummins engines giving a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles at this speed.

Her voluminous design gives her a gross tonnage of 300 GRT

Vervece was built to RINA class by an Italian yard in 1964, but she’s now Charter Class and MCA compliant. Her voluminous design gives her a gross tonnage of 300 GRT.

Alongside its refit activity, Palumbo is currently building three yachts (40m, 55m and 60m) under its brand Columbus Yacht.
