Galeon delivers motor yacht Queen Ekatierina

On my visit to Galeon this week, the Polish yard confirmed that it had recently delivered the 24.5 metre motor yacht Queen Ekatierina, second hull in the yard's flagship 780 Crystal series. The first model of this Tony Castro-designed series made her debut during the Festival de la Plaisance of Cannes in 2011.

Like all the vessels produced by Galeon, Queen Ekatierina is a semi-customised yacht, with modifications to her flybridge, interior layout and décor which distinguish her from her sister. One of the major differences is on the main deck, where an enclosed galley separates the living area from the helm station.

Queen Ekatierina accommodates eight guests in four cabins, all located on the lower deck, including a full-beam master, a VIP and two twins.

Powered by twin 1,650hp MAN V12 engines, she tops 31.5 knots and cruises at 25 knots with a 350 nautical mile range.

Already shipped to the Med, Queen Ekatierina will be displayed at the Cannes Festival de la Plaisance in early September.
