Bernie Challis at Van der Vliet tells me he's signed the new 24m explorer yacht Andros for sale.

Delivered this year by Poland's Aluship in steel and aluminium, twin 340hp MAN engines give her a range of 3,400 nautical miles at 8.5 knots and two cabins sleep four guests.

This globetrotter is equipped with modern electronic equipment and an ultra deep underwater survey field is created by a sophisticated Far Sounder installation, a navy grade system. Robust construction along with a modern saloon and cabins offer an ideal live-aboard environment. Special attention has been paid to the vessel's internal heating system, making extended time in colder regions comfortable.

The bridge offers 360° vision and is a roomy area with an observation couch opening out onto the main deck. A garage aft houses a tender with the option to house a second tender on the mid foredeck. Unusually, a garage amidships houses a four wheel drive Land Rover with a custom system enabling roll-on roll-off service.

Lying in Poland, Andros is asking €4.25 million.
