Currently in build at Heesen Yachts, the yard's first 40m 'sportster' aluminium motor yacht, Project Galatea, has now been sold.

An open flybridge layout with 85 square metres of deck space includes a helm station and a shaded dining area protected by glass side panels. The saloon includes a large lounge and a dining area with full-height glass doors bringing the outside in. Accommodation is for 10 guests in five staterooms: a full-beam master suite on the main deck, two VIP staterooms and two twin cabins, all with en suite facilities.

Capable of 28 knots, Project Galatea features the latest Seakeeper zero-speed stabilisers to provide ultimate comfort to guests.

Interior designer Frank Laupman of Omega Architects has created a calm, modern interior, using contrasting woods, simple clean lines, marquetry and glass detailing.

Project Galatea is scheduled for launch in January 2014 followed by sea trials in the North Sea prior to delivery at the end of March 2014.
