Now the first December sale, and it's a big one, as Peter Thompson and Simon Gibson at Worth Avenue Yachts close on the sale of the 61m motor yacht Diamonds Are Forever, a joint listing with Ocean Independence.

Delivered in 2011 by Benetti, Diamonds Are Forever was built to LLoyds class and MCA coded for a demanding, serial yacht owner famed for his love of fast superyachts. In this case he chose to create a displacement yacht suitable for family use and charter and engaged Evan K. Marshall to create a sumptuous interior in high gloss woods, Art Deco accents and a multitude of mirrors. The full beam sky lounge has white furniture, a full bar with marble top and a circular dining table. Above is a sun deck with a large spa pool overlooking a raised dining area and marble topped wet bar with a television screen.

Accommodation is for 12 guests in six staterooms. The upper deck master suite has a king size bed, large cream settee, myrtle wood burr cabinets with crisscrossed mother of pearl inlays and impressive panoramic views. A VIP stateroom could easily serve as a second master, being split level with 180 degree views. A twin and two further double cabins feature Madrona wood panelling, gold and silver leaf accents and embossed leather bed heads. All staterooms come with televisions, full entertainment systems and en suite facilities. On the technical side, Diamonds Are Forever has twin Caterpillar 1,850hp engines giving her a cruising speed of 13.5 knots and range of 4,800 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Diamonds Are Forever was asking $59.5 million.
