Peter Thompson at Worth Avenue Yachts has sold a new-build 68m motor yacht, Project Skyfall, to be built at Sunrise Yachts to his long-term clients, John and Jeanette Staluppi.

To be delivered in 2017, the yacht's naval architecture is by Mulder Design with styling by Valicelli and Company and an interior design by Germany's Focus Yacht Design. To be built in steel and aluminium, she will have a transatlantic range and the designers are promising several innovations. For instance, she will have a Voith Linear Jet propulsion system offering performance, reliability and silence along with MME microturbines.

Guillaume Roché, Sunrise Yachts CEO, says, 'It means a lot to us to be chosen to build such an ambitious project, especially for one of the world's most experienced yacht owners. It is both an acknowledgement of our achievements in the six short years of our shipyard's operation, and a motivation to further pursue excellence in our standards. We are looking forward with great anticipation to this unique opportunity that is creating a floating work of art with creative and competent people.'

Accommodation on Project Skyfall is for 12 guests and 16 crew while her twin MTU 16V 4999 M93 engines coupled to the Voith Linear Jets will give her a maximum speed of 23 knots.
