Toby Maclaurin at Ocean Independence sends news of a major €4.75 million price drop on his listing for sale, the 42.9m motor yacht Robusto.

Built in aluminium by Lloyd’s Ships to DNV class to a design by Bernie Cohen, Robusto was delivered in 1992. An extensive refit/rebuild in 2006/2009 saw her stripped back to bare metal. The refit included a contemporary interior, new exterior livery, full repaint, new teak decks, new glazing, interior redesign, new navigation equipment and a full hull paint job.

MCA compliant, she accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms. The master suite has an oversized bed and a separate office while the VIP stateroom has a queen size bed. There are two further doubles and a supernumerary cabin for a nanny with a single and Pullman berth. All guest staterooms, apart from the nanny cabin, have televisions, iPod docking stations and full en suite bathroom facilities.

Twin 2,735hp MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knot and a range of 2,250 nautical miles.

Currently out of the water in La Ciotat, France, undergoing class survey, Robusto can be inspected there by prior arrangement until approximately the end of April 2014. Her asking price is now down from €9,750,000 to €5,000,000.
