Sunreef Yachts introduces 156 Ultimate sailing superyacht catamaran

8 July 2014

Polish yacht builder Sunreef Yachts is taking its Ultimate range of sailing superyacht catamarans to the next level with the introduction of a new design, the Sunreef 156 Ultimate.

This new model will slot into place within the builder's Ultimate series between the 90 Ultimate and the 165 Ultimate, which was introduced September 2013. The range is designed to offer high performance sailing and modern styling.

Each model makes the most of the prodigious width offered by a catamaran and with a beam 3 metres greater than that of the larger 165, the 156 is able to maximise living spaces, which Robert Blazejak, head of concept design at Sunreef Yachts, describes as ‘spacious, stretched fully to the beam’.

The main deck has been split into a 255sqm saloon with dining for 12 guests, a lounge and bar space, plus a 65sqm master suite with floor to ceiling windows. Both the saloon and the master suite are significantly larger than their equivalents on the 165. The proposed interior décor features matte, whitewashed wood contrasted with polished black elements. Eight crew and 12 guests are accommodated in the hulls.

Exterior spaces include a 70sqm foredeck terrace, accessible directly from the master suite through sliding doors, and from an 142sqm upper terrace via twin staircases. The upper terrace features a dining table for 12 guests and sunpads.
