Allied Marine sells Hatteras luxury yacht Orca Explorer with Northrop & Johnson

Philip Bell at Northrop & Johnson tells me that he's closed on his listing for sale, the 24.33 metre motor yacht Orca Explorer, with Peter Hopwood at Allied Marine acting for the buyer.

Orca Explorer was built by US shipyard Hatteras Yachts and was said to be the most highly specified of the yard’s yachts when she was delivered in 2008. The large covered aft deck has comfortable seating for six at a teak table with an overhead sound system controlled from the entertainment system in the main saloon. The expansive and tastefully appointed main saloon is filled with an abundance of natural light from the large side windows, and the contemporary furnishings make this area feel much larger than on similar sized yachts.

Nine guests are accommodated in four staterooms. The large master suite is full beam and located amidships while the VIP stateroom is forward. There are also port and starboard twin cabins and the starboard cabin doubles as a guest gymnasium when needed. All staterooms have en suite bathroom facilities, and twin 16V 2000 M91 MTU engines power Orca Explorer to a cruising speed of 21 knots.

Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Orca Explorer was asking $3,995,000.
