Benetti has launched its 58-metre superyacht Illusion I at its shipyard in Livorno, Italy.

The latest in Benetti's custom yacht lineup was built for European owners who, according to Benetti, were very hands-on with the design process. Exterior and interior design comes from Green & Mingarelli Design in conjunction with Benetti, with the latter responsible for the naval architecture.

The steel-and-aluminium displacement hull motor yacht has an ample accommodations across its four decks, plus a sun deck. The interior layout is well-designed for dual uses as commercial charter yacht and private owner's boat with a master stateroom, one VIP stateroom and four guest staterooms, accommodating 12 guests. The full-beam owner's stateroom on the main deck boasts a relaxation area preceding the main cabin, his-and-hers dressing rooms, and an enormous central shower in the owner's bathroom. Both the owner's and VIP bathroom are entirely finished in onyx decor complemented by marble-carved sinks – and all of the bathrooms on board have custom rose finished faucets.

The main saloon is designed for entertaining, with a 10-seater dining table placed at the entryway to the aft deck. The glass walls of the main saloon let plenty of light into the space, which is furnished in sofas chosen by the owner and is dominated by a pink colour motif. Travertine, wood and marble are used profusely in the interior design, along with more unusual materials, such as ray-skin, coco and mother of pearl details and ivory leather ceilings. The guest areas are adorned in black walnut wood panel walls.

Outdoor entertaining is provided with a C-shaped sofa and bar on the main deck, a table seating 14 for al fresco dining on the upper deck, and the sun deck welcomes with a beautiful mosaic Jacuzzi, sun loungers, a bar, barbecue and dinette, which can all be protected from the wind.

Illusion I is flagged to MCA LY2 commercial compliance. She is powered by twin Caterpillar 3512 C engines, delivering a top speed of 15.5 knots, a 15-knot fast cruise speed, and she boasts a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Benetti's latest superyacht Illusion I will make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.
