News just in from John Weller at Northrop & Johnson that he's found a buyer for Feadship’s 46.88 metre motor yacht Charade which was an open listing for sale.

Charade was built in steel and aluminium by the Dutch superyacht yard De Vries to a design by De Voogt Naval Architects and delivered in 1990. Since her launch she has always been under the care of knowledgeable owners and professional crew who have lavished continual attention to upgrading and maintenance work. She has proven herself as a world cruiser from the Mediterranean to Tahiti, New Zealand, The Bahamas, Caribbean, Pacific and all points in between.

The main deck is a variation on the usual layout with an expansive main saloon containing a fireplace, a large galley, a dining room and the owner's suite in the second part of the full-beam section. The upper deck offers a panoramic lounge containing a large bar, a captain's stateroom with an office and the pilothouse forward. This has no wheel and instead navigation is controlled with joysticks and a computer.

Luxurious accommodation is for 10 guests in an on deck full beam master suite, two doubles and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities, and twin 805hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 12.5 knots.

Lying in South Florida, Charade was asking $13.9 million.
