Great news from Burgess that they sold the 85.6 metre motor yacht Cakewalk yesterday afternoon, acting for both buyer and seller.

Designed by Tim Heywood, Cakewalk was built in steel and aluminium by US superyacht yard Derecktor to Lloyds class and MCA coded with delivery in 2010. She holds the record of being the largest superyacht built in the USA since the 1930s, and the biggest ever built in the United States when measured by volume.

Conveniently, all the accommodation of seven staterooms is located on the main deck. These include four staterooms with king size beds, two staterooms with double beds and one staff cabin with twin bunk beds. All guest staterooms have en suite bathrooms.

Numerous entertainment options are available for guests with four external decks to choose from. The sun deck has a range of observation chairs, sun loungers and card tables, along with a bar and large whirlpool spa. The additional three external decks offer a blend of open or shaded seating and are ideal for relaxing, dining or entertaining alfresco. Twin 3,306hp MTU engines give her a range of 5,000 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 15 knots.

Jointly listed for sale with Merle Wood & Associates, Cakewalk was asking €119,000,000.
