British yacht builder Spirit Yachts has revealed designs for a Sprit 110 sailing yacht.

The new designs will be officially showcased during the upcoming London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show in April 2015. Conceived by Sean McMillan, classic yacht designer and Spirit's CEO, the stylish Spirit 110 is designed to be both beautiful to behold and deliver high performance.

“The combination of the elegant wooden design, carbon rigging and an incredible power to weight ratio results in a high quality, performance superyacht that delivers under racing conditions," says Sean McMillan.

The Spirit 110 is designed to be comfortable for long-range cruising and living aboard. Spirit Yachts has given a sneak peak of the new of its new sailing superyacht, releasing the general arrangement and exterior renderings. The layout, pictured above, shows a full beam owner's suite, ample main saloon with dining table and lounge seating, guest staterooms forward – she will sleep six guests in total – and further forward are crew quarters with a crew mess and accommodations four for crew members. Alternative layouts are offered as well. A signature style statement of Spirit yachts is the Spirit fan skylights in the coach roof, which allow natural light to flow into the main saloon below.

Spirit Yachts says it's had "significant interest" in the new Spirit 110 and also hints at a Spirit 110 motor yacht, which the builder's newly developed facility would be capable of taking on. Spirit currently has a smaller Spirit 46 sailing yacht in build as well as a Spirt 40 power boat. It recently delivered the Spirit 65 modern classic yacht Chloe Giselle, which is en route to Singapore where she will appear at the Singapore Yacht Show in late April.

Last year, Boat International got the exclusive first sail on board its new launch 22.4 metre Spirit of Galatea.
