The 49 metre Rossinavi superyacht Aurora was launched in Viareggio on April 1, the Italian yard has confirmed. Originally known by the codename Longitude 47, she was lengthened during the build process, adding 2.2 metres to the LOA, making her the Longitude 49.

Exterior styling is courtesy of Fulvio De Simoni, while the interiors, totalling just under 500GT, were created by Achille Salvagni. Delivery is expected to take place before the end of the year.

Aurora has an estimated top speed of 21 knots

Aurora boasts a sporty design, inspired by performance cars, but unlike a typical sports boat, she has plenty of interior living space as well. “The Longitude 47 is a unique boat in its design — the large spaces available onboard are usually expected on displacement yachts with classic lines,” said Rossinavi COO Federico Rossi.

“An innovative architecture allowed us to develop a sporty yacht with unusual proportions,” added Fulvio de Simoni. He describes the yacht as having “a unique personality and a determination to a clean and pure design”.

The aft deck has a raised cockpit set above the main deck, which provides open outdoor living while giving more privacy to the main deck saloon. Meanwhile, the beach saloon is set forward of the aft deck, providing a recessed dining area that is still open to the elements.

Aurora will accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms, including a panoramic owner’s suite and VIP set on the main deck, each with their own private deck measuring 55 metres square.

Aurora will have a large garage capable of accommodating two tenders, two seabobs, two Jet Skis, scuba diving equipment and a range of superyacht water toys. Power comes from a pair of 3,460hp MTU 12V 4000 M93L diesel engines for a top speed of 21 knots and a maximum cruising range of 3,800 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the recently launched 49.9 metre Endeavour II, which is also due for delivery before the end of the year.
