Price drop on Carbon Ocean sailing yacht Aegir

The 25.1 metre performance sailing yacht Aegir, jointly listed for sale by bluewater and Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage, has had a €300,000 price reduction.

Designed by Rogers Yacht Design, she was built by US yard Carbon Ocean Yachts to RINA class and was delivered in 2010. Using the latest construction techniques, the hull is built of pre-preg carbon fibre, giving enormous weight savings and blistering pace.

Aegir is currently lying in Palma de Mallorca

With just a three- or four-day transformation, this soft, elegant and fast cruiser loses eight tons to become an ultra high-performance racing yacht. To prove the point, she won first place in the Maxi Racing class at the 2013 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup world championships. In 2012, she cruised from Palma to Malta, a distance of 670 nautical miles in only 62 hours, with winds gusting over 40 knots, as she hit speeds of over 22 knots.

The main saloon of this yacht for sale is spacious, featuring an open-plan layout including a multimedia entertainment centre, with the galley off to one side that leads to the crew cabin aft. Accommodation is for six guests in a master suite amidships, a VIP suite forward and a twin – all with en-suite bathroom facilities. In addition, the master and VIP suites have full entertainment centres. Under power, a 180hp Yanmar engine gives her top speed of 12 knots and range of 825 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Aegir is now asking €3,599,000 with VAT paid.
