8 summer must-haves from Sabrina Monte-Carlo

Lalique Tourbillon Vase

While your beautiful custom superyacht interior may never go out of style, there’s no denying that a few colourful touches can help bring the brightness of summer onto any yacht. Whether its time to exchange tired crockery for a fun, modern set, invest in unique glasses for a special dinner party or simply buy an exquisite new vase for your main saloon, luxury interiors company Sabrina Monte-Carlo is here to help. Here’s our pick of the top summer must-haves to buy now…

Lalique Tourbillon Vase

A show-stopping piece to put in any saloon, this gorgeous vase by Rene Lalique is inspired by tourbillons – the French word for whirlwinds. Perhaps better known as a fine jeweller, Lalique began incorporating glass into his designs in the early 20th Century before trying his hand at larger ornamental pieces, such as this. Although produced in quantity and in a number of colour combinations, the quality of the finish and the boldness of the concept suggest a handmade design of which the blue colourway is by far the most effective. With its dynamic, swirling pattern and conversely soft lines, we can’t think of any vase better suited to life at sea.

Massimo Vitali Photograph

Shown as part of Sabrina Monte-Carlo’s recent Beaches exhibition, Massimo Vitali’s Butterfly Valley and Ferries #3184 is perhaps one of the most famous coastal images ever taken. Part of a body of work that includes images currently on display in New York’s Guggenheim museum and Madrid’s Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, this first numbered work from a limited run of just six is the ideal piece to add to your superyacht art gallery.

Riccio Caprese Sea Urchins

Founded by Fabio Majello, with designs from his wife Imma, Riccio Caprese makes stunning artistic and ornamental objects inspired by the couple’s summer holidays in Capri. Characterised by the signature Italian traits of style, elegance and exclusivity, Riccio Caprese's subtle yet chic ceramic sea urchins are a corner stone of their beautiful range. Available in red, gold, black, white and turquoise, they are the perfect finish to any al fresco dining table.

Alberto Pinto Le Bahia Tableware

An exquisite meal prepared by your private chef and served in the surrounds of one of the Med’s prettiest coves deserves something a little more exciting than plain white china. Inspired by the feathered headdresses worn by native Americans and the colourful parrots, macaws and toucans found in Brazil, the seven eye-catching patterns of Alberto Pinto’s Le Bahia range are hand-painted on to fine Limoges porcelain for a truly decadent finish. With enough cup and plate sizes for every occasion, these pretty pieces promise to add a little fiesta to your superyacht vacation.

Paola Lenti Frame Sunbeds

Paola Lenti is a name well known to many superyacht owners. As one of the leading outdoor furniture companies in the yachting industry, her designs are the result of years of research, experience, innovation and an innate sense of style. These intriguing Frame sunbeds are the perfect case in point: created from marine rope, they are highly resistant to all weather conditions while their chic striped blue pattern is the perfect match to whichever sea you happen to be sailing on. We suggest you get them before your neighbour (inevitably) does.

Mario Luca Giusti Lente Glasses

As charming and sophisticated as they may be, crystal glasses are not exactly the most practical choice for day boats or beach clubs. Made entirely from acrylic, Mario Luca Guisti’s Lente collection is entirely child, pool party and wave safe – plus we think the bright colours and subtle pattern make them ideal for serving refreshing mid-afternoon cocktails.
