A new name to this column, Barbara Barghi at GlorYacht, tells me that they have signed the 33m motor yacht Shedar for charter in the Mediterranean in 2012.
Built by Cantieri di Pisa in 2010, she is part of the new Akhir 108 series designed by Carlo Galeazzi. Based on the original model by Pierluigi Spadolini, the new Akhir combines traditional values with innovative design and technology. Her interior boasts an elegant linear style in which the warm tones of natural teak blend with the red Paduk of the inlays and mouldings.
She can accommodate up to 10 guests in 4 cabins, plus a convertible study on the main deck, with 4 or 5 crew.
Barbara tells me she is the only yacht from the new Akhir 108 series currently available for charter. Rates start from €90,000 per week with discounts available for early bookings.
