Highlander was originally commissioned from Feadship by her owner, the late Malcolm Forbes of the Forbes magazine group, and delivered in 1986.
She subsequently went on to host dinners and conferences for royalty and statesmen from around the world, and still bears hallmarks of her remarkably distinguished history.

A major rebuild in 2014 saw her receive a new Bannenberg & Rowell interior and ultra-modern amenities such as a Jacuzzi tub, a helipad and zero-speed stabilisers to eliminate roll motion.
