Prepare to be captivated by sailing yacht Desiderata's graceful lines and elegant classic style. She is the only remaining vessel afloat that was constructed to John G. Alden's 1945 Malabar XIII design. The ocean-racing design excelled when Alden competed in the 1948 Bermuda Race and 1951 Transatlantic Race.
Look past her breath-taking beauty and find fully modernised amenities; she has wi-fi throughout, USB charging points in every cabin, and a 32" plasma screen on which to recap classic regatta moments. Desiderata had an extensive interior and exterior refit in 2013, before embarking on her new adventure as a classic charter sailing yacht.
The flexible accommodation, can comfortably sleep 2-4 guests.
To compliment Desiderata's enthralling history and exquisite style, the highly experienced owner-operators, Stuart and Julia, offer premium sailing charters and the opportunity to race in classic regattas. Their fun-loving nature, and passion for Desiderata, is only rivalled by their enthusiasm for fine dining and entertaining guests with delicious haute cuisine.
