The rugged coastal setting of the Six Senses resort in Zighy Bay, Oman now can now be enjoyed aboard the hotel’s clasically styled boat Dhahab. Keeping in line with the hotel’s rustic design, which combines middle-eastern charm with barefoot luxury, Dhahab is a restored traditional Omani Dhow. The 27-metre luxurious vessel can sleep up to six guests. Designed by the team at Six Senses to provide ultimate comfort on board, she features multiple dining areas, two sun decks, an air-conditioned saloon and a cinema.

Dhahab is available for two or three-day cruises, following bespoke itineraries designed around guests’ requirements. Travelling at a speed of 10 knots guests can admire the mountainous scenery, pristine fjords and secluded bays of the Musandam Coast. The region’s pristine waters are rich with marine life and are prefect for kayaking, snorkelling, diving and fishing. Sani Resort, Halkidiki

Located on the western knuckle of Greece's Halkidiki trident, the Sani Resort offers guests topaz waters, astonishing sea views, luxurious spas and a myriad of gourmet restaurants. However, if you're looking to spend a day or two on the water, Sani has a small fleet from which to select the perfect yacht for your excursion onto the Aegean Sea.

The resort has its own marina that can host yachts up to 30 metres if you've brought your own – alternatively, choose from 10.43 metre Kalos Giorgos, 11.95 metre Sani Swan, 14.8 metre Vendavel, 16.65 metre Antionis Ioanna or 20 metre Myrina, the latter of which boasts three cabins and can host up to eight people.

Cruise around the tiny islands surrounding Haldiki and go snorkelling in the famous Blue Lagoon, just off the Diaporos Islet, where you can enjoy ludicrously clear waters and a myriad of small fish to spot.

Rosewood Tucker's Point, Bermuda

Those staying at Rosewood Tucker's Point during the 35th America's Cup will be able to watch the racing in style from on board 37.19 metre Mariner III. Up to 80 guests a day can head out to watch the day's racing from the exclusive Superyacht Area in Bermuda's Great Sound.

Delivered in 1926 by Winslow Marine Rail & Shipbuilding, she was last refitted in 2007 and her traditional design echoes the charm of America in the 1920s. She boasts a large and uncluttered deck with optional shading and an aft deck bar, making this the perfect spot to catch some of the races taking place this June.

The yacht will be moored at Rosewood Tucker's Point, just one of the establishments helping to turn Bermuda into a superyacht hub for the elite, and will cruise out to the course for optimal viewpoints. Places are strictly limited, and guests will enjoy fine food and cocktails from the hotel.

The One&Only Palmilla Resort, Los Cabos, Mexico

The One&Only Palmilla Resort offers visitors the chance to be whisked away on Catari, a 28.95 metre superyacht that has played host to celebrities such as Iggy Azalea.

Catari can sleep up to eight guests in four cabins but can host up to 25 guests on a day cruise. Excursions include a trip to the famous rock formation known as Land's End where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, a snorkelling tour, a sunset cruise, a romantic dinner for two in Medano Bay and whale watching expeditions (only available between December and March.)

Most excursions include plenty of opportunities for relaxing either on a quiet beach or on board. Drinks and canapés will be served by the charming crew, who will also be on hand if guests fancy a spot of kayaking, paddleboarding or Jet Skiing.

The new Boat & Suite package enables guests to enjoy a day exploring some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean on board an elegant Lobster boat. D-Hotel Maris, Turkey

D-Hotel Maris has three luxury yachts available for charter and day tours — 44 metre sailing yacht Ubi Bene, 30 metre sailing yacht Paşa and 16 metre motor yacht Alia Open Seas.

Ubi Bene (pictured above) features a light and bright interior with five en suite cabins making her suitable for longer charters. Her deck spaces offer ample opportunity for relaxing in the sun or enjoying al-fresco dining.

The more traditionally designed Paşa was delivered in 2009 and has accommodation for eight guests in two master cabins and two twin cabins. If guests are looking to go further afield a cook and stewardess can join the crew to provide a luxury charter experience.

Alila Hotels & Resorts, Indonesia

Alila Hotels & Resorts offer traditional Phinisi sailing yacht Alila Purnama for guests to enjoy. Currently located in the East Indonesia seas, in Komodo National Park, the 46 metre yacht is available for private charters for four nights or more.

Guests can relax on board the handcrafted yacht with a spa therapist offering massages and the opportunity to try yoga. Charterers can also take in some of the world’s best dives as the crew of 16 includes two PADI qualified instructors.

Cheval Blanc Randheli, Maldives

Set in the Noonu Atoll, Cheval Blanc Randheli has a 30 metre Azimut 98 Leonardo, which gives guests the opportunity to explore the Maldives by superyacht. The hotel offers extended diving trips, an ultra-private honeymoon experience, or a family adventure. She can accomoate 10 guests and has an open-deck Jacuzzi, an extensive toy box and fishing and dive equipment.

For guests wanting to sleep on dry land, there is also the option of a sunset cruise with champange.

Amanwana, Moyo Island east of Bali

Amanwana, which is the only resort located on the island of Moyo, offers guests the choice of two traditional Indonesian Phinsi style boats.

The larger is 38 metre sailing ship Amandira which was hand-crafted by the Konjo tribe, a sub-ethnic group of Bugis-Makassar. Accommodating up to ten guests, Amandira sails in Indonesia’s Komodo National Park (April to September) and Raja Ampat (October to March). While 32 metre Amanikan has three above-deck cabins, a foredeck with bar for outdoor dining and extensive dive facilities. The boat comes with a crew of 10 including a dive instructor and a private chef.
