6 days exploring the best of Bermuda

The Hamilton Princess

Arrive in Bermuda and take in the sights of the island during a 25 minute transfer to the iconic pink Hamilton Princess hotel. The hotel has just undergone a $100 million renovation in preparation for next year’s America’s Cup. Spend a night in the Penthouse Suite, which offers panoramic views of the harbour and enjoy a relaxing start to your vacation with a massage at the Exhale Spa.

For dinner head to vibrant Marcus’ — the Bermudan outlet of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. Sample specialities such as fish chowder bites or fried chicken and waffles and finish off your meal with cardamom sugar donuts served with peanut butter marshmallows.

Hamilton to Deep Bay

In the morning discover Bermuda's lively capital, Hamilton, which hosts some of the largest finance companies in the world, and thus has some of the best shopping and dining of any island.

In the afternoon meet your yacht at the Hamilton Princess Marina and head out to discover the rest of the island. Either relax on board or diving and snorkeling can be arranged with a trip out to Western Blue Cut. This area hosts several wrecks including the Constellation and the Montana. Anchoring off of Admiralty Point in Deep Bay is a great spot for a sunset swim.

Deep Bay to Fort Scaur

An early morning tender trip will bring you out to North Rock – the most northerly coral reef in the Atlantic – and one of Bermuda's best snorkeling spots. A lunchtime cruise along the Crescent Channel will bring you into the Great Sound. Anchoring just under the remnants of the 1870s-era fortification, you'll have front row seats to witness the AC45 multihulls racing around their training grounds, preparing for the 2017 America’s Cup.

Fort Scaur to St George Harbor

From this anchorage you can choose to head out to the Argus Bank and hunt for that grander of a blue marlin, jump ashore and play a round at the Port Royal Golf Course made famous by the PGA Grand Slam or have a private car escort you to the beautiful pink sand beaches of the south shore.

Finish your day in St George at the eastern end of the island. A UNESCO world heritage site you can wander the entire town in just one hour, seeing some of the oldest British buildings in the west.

For adventurous guests, the tender will make a trip out to the wreck of the Pelanion, which is one of the best shipwreck dives in the world. The nearby Cathedral Rocks is a great second stop. The yacht will then travel to Castle Harbor where the afternoon may be spent soaking in the sun or wading on the sandbars of “Castle Roads,” a beautiful sand flat bordered by private beaches and even a small rock formation, great for a dose of cliff jumping. At sunset, enjoy cocktails at a nearby resort.

Castle Harbour to St. George

As your vacation comes to an end this is the ideal time to enjoy jet skis and other watersports. Lunch will be served en route to St. George. Enjoy just one more Bermuda Rum Swizzle before you head to the airport for the journey home.
