Nominations for the World Superyacht Awards close Sunday 24 November, 2013

Only a few days remain to submit an entry for consideration in the World Superyacht Awards – the superyacht industry's premier and most-coveted awards – before nominations close on Sunday 24 November, 2013.

Since 2007, the World Superyacht Awards have recognised the incredible innovation, design and build behind the finest luxury superyachts in the world. Already an impressive collection of new sailing and motor yacht nominees, along with an array of this year's most interesting refits, are entered into the running for the 2014 competition. A shortlisting meeting held next month in December will determine which yacht entries will become finalists and have a chance to win the coveted silver Neptune trophy during the 2014 prize giving, taking place 3 May, 2014, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

This is the last opportunity to submit an entry and be in the running for the 2104 World Superyacht Awards before nominations close. In order to make a nomination, all materials, as detailed in the Rules and Entry Requirements, must be received by Sunday, 24 November.

There is also a special call for Voyager's Awards nominations, which is open until 31 January, 2014. The fifth annual Voyager's Award recognises a superyacht owner who has made extensive use of their yacht in long-distance voyaging and exploration. This competition has a complimentary entry and is open to all yacht owners or charterers of a vessel more than 30 metres in length that has undertaken a voyage of unusual or exploratory nature during the period between 1 January, 2012, and 31 December, 2013. In 2013, the award went to the adventuring yachtsmen of the 37.6 superyacht Marama, built for owners Kevin and Teresa Jaffé. Marama explored the world since 2001 and in 2012 she cruised from Seattle to Glacier Bay, Alaska, in a three-month, 3,200-nautical mile voyage.

This year, with the support of yacht builder Amels, Feadship, Heesen Yachts, Holland Jachtbouw and Royal Huisman, the World Superyacht Awards relocate to a new venue in Amsterdam and will be held along with a gala evening at the Het Scheepvaartmuseum, the National Maritime Museum, on Saturday 3 May, 2014. An exclusive social programme will complement the awards ceremony and gala evening, including a welcome cocktail, shipyard tours for superyacht owners hosted by the event partners and a cultural programme. Table applications are available now.
