Top 5 superyacht furniture designs from Salone del Mobile

Armani/Casa

Who better to turn to for chic furniture than a man who designed his own superyacht, Main, top to bottom and inside out? The latest furniture collection from Armani/Casa is inspired by multi-culturalism as seen through the eyes of a native Eastern citizen, resulting in luxurious styles that are both essential and beautiful. We love the limited edition Justin desk, created as an edition of 40 to mark the Armani house’s 40th anniversary. Designed with a double top and crafted from grey tamo ash and aqua leather, if there was ever a desk to inspire a work ethic at sea, this is it.

Lee Broom

British product and interior designer Lee Broom hosted one of the stand-out exhibitions at this year’s Salone del Mobile. Taking over a street of disused shops, Broom launched twenty new products in ‘The Department Store’, an innovative space which showcased furniture, lighting and interior objects against the backdrop of store departments including perfume, haberdashery, accessories and books. Trussardi

Following in the footsteps of Versace, Fendi, Armani and Gucci, Trussardi became the latest Italian fashion house to present a homeware collection during Milan Design Week 2015. As with Trussardi’s wearable designs, the debut interiors range was a lesson in elegance and refinement, inspired by Milanese homes. These space-saving Cherries lamps emit a warm romantic glow making them just perfect for sultry evenings in the main saloon.

Paul Mathieu

It doesn’t matter whether your yacht is 30 metres or 100 metres, finding true privacy on board is something all owners and guests struggle with. Designed in collaboration with the Luxury Living Group, French designer Paul Mathieu’s elegant and lightly modernist collection was inspired by Baudelaire’s The Flowers of Evil, lending it a distinctly Parisian air of simplicity. This minimal folding screen is an utterly chic way to divide saloons and cabins without spoiling the effect of your custom interior design.

Fendi Casa by Thierry Lemaire

A now well established fixture at the Salone del Mobile, this year Fendi Casa added a little extra interest to proceedings by introducing a new collaboration with French architect and designer Thierry Lemaire. Charaterised by unusual materials and sophisticated use of metallic highlights, the undoubted star of the collection is the Artù sofa. Should your main saloon allow, we suggest placing two opposite each other with a low coffee table in the centre, creating a space for gatherings that are inviting, intimate and completely exclusive.
