12 pictures inside the World Superyacht Awards 2015

A balmy spring evening provided the perfect backdrop as guests arrived at the stunning venue. Serena Lawson-Smith, Head of Interiors at H2 Design, and a guest don their finest black tie outfits for the occasion.

The World Superyacht Awards is always a highlight of the yachting calendar as it allows old friends and business colleagues a chance to reunite - as Jonathan Beckett from Burgess (L) and designer Tim Heywood (R) aptly demonstrated.

The awards are also a brilliant way for high-flying members of the superyacht industry to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the their employees and companies over the past 12 months. Here Sylke auf den Graben and Michael Bremen of Lurssen yachts look forward to a night of celebrations.

And what would a party be without a little champagne to get things started? Before sitting down to dinner guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail reception, allowing them a chance to catch up and take in their surroundings before the main event.

Members of Amels, Vripack, Borancili Marine and Istanbul Tuzla collect the hotly contested Neptune trophy for Alumerica, which tied for first place with Amore Mio 2 in the Best Refitted Yacht category.

The team behind WinWin, winner of the Sailing Yacht of the Year category, are pictured with Natasha Kaplinsky and Boat International editorial director Sacha Bonsor. The owner of WinWin is holding the award.

The boat was built by Baltic with naval architecture and exterior design by  Javier Jaudenes.

Proudly displaying his Scottish heritage in a traditional kilt and sporran, superyacht owner Lord Irvine Laidlaw picks up his Legacy award.

The picture they all wanted to be in: with the nervous wait over the winners of 2015's prized Neptune trophies take to the stage for a commemorative group photo.

With the awards over, the guests took to the floor to really let their hair down. With more than enough space in the cavernous venue, no-one was shy when it came to pulling some serious shapes.

Helped along by a special live music set, the partying, dancing and socialising carried on until the small hours - with all guests agreeing that they had had a thoroughly brilliant evening.
