Mazu

Launched by the Chinese yard Cheoy Lee on October 25th, the 46m Mazu is the second hull of the Marco Polo series. Her red Burgundy hull paintjob makes her easily distinguishable from the original Marco Polo painted in green.

The Marco Polo series was designed by Ron Holland and built by Cheoy Lee for MCC. Lloyd's classed and MCA compliant, her hull is in steel with a composite superstructure. The layout accommodates 10 guests in a master, two double and a twin cabin plus possible extra beds in the gymnasium.

Like her sistership, Mazu is powered by a single Caterpillar 3512B engine of 1,911hp giving a long range of 6,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Mazu will be delivered in 2011.
