Chantier Naval Couach delivers superyacht Arion

3 April 2011

On February 22nd we released news of her launch, and now Arion was delivered to her owner last Friday, April 1st. Presented on the piers of Bordeaux, France during the weekend, the sixth hull of the 3700 Fly series personifies the rebirth of Chantier Naval Couach and represents the first collaboration with the designer Ken Freivokh. He's created a chic interior with cherry and wenge woods, highlighted by suede and white lacquered panels.

"We have been very attentive to the quality of finishes and varnishes" explained Eric Robert-Peillard, manager of CNC. "It is a simple boat, but with great finishes." It is indeed a luxury version of 37m series with the latest technologies like iPad controlled lights and audio/video system. This state-of-the-art one, from MBL, is particularly suitable for the owner, a music lover.

The interior layout sleeps nine guests in a master, two VIPs and a twin cabin plus a Pullman. Powered by twin 2,735hp MTU engines,* Arion* reaches a top speed of 30 knots and also fitted with gyroscopic stabilisers.

The collaboration between CNC and Kreivokh could happen again in the future, as the designer said: "This positive and pleasant professional relationship and the excellent workmanship make me think that other projects together will follow." Before this, the next challenge for CNC will be the 5000 Fly, the future flagship of the yard. The first hull scheduled for September 2011 will have an interior from the French designer Jean-Pierre Fantini.
