Monaco Yacht Show must sees: part 2

We continue our look at our 25 top picks to see at The Monaco Yacht Show later this month. Make sure the classic sailer Canova makes your must-see list, along with the fast, stylish Shooting Star and ultra-exclusive Hermitage.

6. Numptia | Stand N10, Quai de l’Hirondelle

Built for an experienced owner, this 70m yacht is being presented by Burgess. A product of the Italian Rossi Navi yard, her lines come from the boards of Studio Spadolini, with Axis Group Yacht Design handling the naval architecture. Her Studio Salvagni interior accommodates up to 12 guests and 19 crew. Her interior style echoes timeless elegance from several eras, with some deliciously eccentric twists and a unique take on deck spaces, with highlights that include a complete spa deck. Her hull has proven itself already, with Numptia achieving 18.6 knots on trials, 2.5 knots over target. She is available for sale or charter through Burgess.

7. Canova | Stand C05, Quai chicane

This new 112 from Finnish yard Baltic Yachts features a Judel/Vrolijk hull in E-glass, aramid and carbon, and she should perform well on her planned circumnavigation. Styling is traditional with a mahogany interior and she has a fixed cockpit canopy to keep guests dry in prolonged tropical downpours.

8. Hermitage

This custom-built Lürssen 68.15m yacht has a military-style exterior by Espen Øino and contemporary Andrew Winch interiors. She will be one of the stars of the show — although viewings will be strictly limited to a few select clients.

9. Shooting Star | Stand N19, Quai de l’Hirondelle

Combining contemporary Scandinavian styling with a fast hull, this Espen Øino designed 38m, 50-knot carbon flyer from Danish Yachts is a real head-turner. She features a giant sunroof in the main saloon, acres of glass and innovative solutions to flood the whole of the interior with natural light. She is listed for sale with YCO.

10. Darlings Danama | Stand T06, T central

CRN’s new 60m features a light and contemporary interior accommodating up to 12 guests in cabins spread across the upper, main and lower decks. She would be well worth a visit.
