The World Superyacht Awards honour the finest new superyacht builds delivered to their owners in the past 12 months. The finalists, selected from a considerable number of nominations, are judged by an expert panel and the winners of the 2012 awards will be announced at the gala evening in Istanbul on Saturday 5 May.

Yachts are grouped into a number of categories so they can be judged against peers of similar size and type. Each day in the lead up to the Awards we are highlighting the finalists in every category, and in part 6 we present more fast yachts – this time with raised pilothouses.

Here are the finalists, in alphabetical order, in the category:

Heesen’s 37m Aurelia comes with exterior styling by Omega Architects and an interior designed by Bannenberg & Rowell.

 

Black Gold

The 34m Westport Black Gold has naval architecture by Jack Sarin, exterior styling by a collaboration between Westport and Taylor Olsen and an in-house interior.

 

Desta

Desta is a 30.06m Ferretti built and designed yacht with exterior styling and interior design by Zuccon International Project, the latter in collaboration with Centro Stile Ferretti Group.

 

Le Gypsy

A Sanlorenzo yacht through and through, the 31.7m Le Gypsy has exterior styling by Francesco Paszkowski.

 

Muses

Built by Horizon with naval architecture by Horizon Premier Yachtworks, the 36.58m Muses has exterior styling by JC Espinosa and an interior by Hemuid Design Studio.

 

Never Say Never

The 39.12m Sunseeker styled and built Never Say Never has naval architecture from a collaboration between Don Shead and Sunseeker International, and a Ken Freivokh designed interior.
