by Chris Jefferies
The 42.6 metre motor yacht Mona Liza, listed for sale with Moran Yacht & Ship, has been given a $490,000 price reduction.
Built in GRP by US yard Westship to a design by Jack Sarin, she was delivered in 2001 under her former name of Martha Ann. She was refitted in 2012 including a full hull and superstructure repaint with her twin 2,250hp MTU engines serviced. Her main saloon offers a dramatic open space with a sit down bar, flat screen HDTV and generous use of exotic woods, onyx and marble plus panoramic views.
Accommodation on this yacht for sale is for up to 12 guests in five cabins. A full-beam master suite on the main deck has stained glass doors, a private office, king sized bed, 42-inch HDTV and a remote controlled entertainment system plus an en suite with shower and whirlpool bath. The two double and two twin cabins below feature rich fabrics, custom joinery, entertainment systems and en-suite facilities.
Al fresco dining is available on all decks including a large aft deck with an expandable table and seating for 10. Additional outdoor entertaining and dining is found on the yacht's sumptuous flybridge with its own bar, spa pool and sun loungers. The skylounge features a 50-inch HDTV on a rise and fall mechanism that appears from an ash and burl cabinet. A home theatre entertainment system and sit-down bar complete the club-like atmosphere on board.
Power comes from a pair of MTU 12V396TE94 diesel engines for a top speed of 18 knots and a maximum cruising range of 3,500 miles at 14 knots.
