The 52 metre Amels motor yacht Seahorse, listed for sale by Vesa Kaukonen at KK Superyachts in Monaco, has been sold.

She was withdrawn from sale in late 2015 to undergo an extensive five-month refit at Icon Yachts in Holland. The refit included interior and exterior restyling, new tenders and Jet Skis, and the installation of brand new Quantum zero speed stabilisers among many further technical upgrades.

Seahorse was asking €18,888,888

Seahorse is part of the semi-production Amels Tigre d’Or series, which initially measured 50 metres and then 52 metres. The yard built eight hulls in these sizes between 1997 and 2003. Its current range of Limited Edition yachts, designed by Tim Heywood, is based on this well-proven formula.

Built in steel and aluminium with delivery in 1999 and previously refurbished in 2007, Seahorse has a new interior by H2 Yacht Design accommodating 12 guests in six cabins including a master suite, two doubles and three twins, all with en-suite facilities. In addition, 14 crew are accommodated in a double captain’s cabin and six twins, all with en-suite showers.

Public areas are spacious and comfortable and all come with flatscreen televisions. For a spot of al fresco relaxation and dining, the sundeck offers ample seating, sun pads, an electric grill, ice maker, fridge and a Jacuzzi, all sheltered by a removable awning.

Twin 1,200hp Cummins engines give her a top speed of 14 knots and a maximum cruising range of 6,800 nautical miles at 12 knots. Both engines were rebuilt by Cummins Holland in December 2014 and Seahorse is in excellent condition due to several refits, including this latest upgrade.

Seahorse was asking €18,888,888.
