Broward motor yacht Home James sold
by Malcolm Maclean
The 30.48 metre motor yacht Home James, listed for sale by Carlos Dominguez at Denison Yacht Sales, has been sold in an in-house deal.
Built in aluminium by US yard Broward, she was delivered in 2000 as a raised pilot house model and received a full refit in Spring 2016 including mechanical and interior upgrades. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite and two twins, all with entertainment centres and en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for four crew.
The full beam main saloon has highly polished wooden floors, two large sectional sofas plus occasional tables, a full bar and an entertainment centre including LED television set. Forward is a country style galley with a cosy dinette seating eight guests for relaxed breakfasts and casual meals through the day.
The aft deck has twin dining tables, a built in upholstered bench settee and a bar, making it the ideal location for al fresco cocktails and evening meals. Port and starboard stairs in the transom lead down to a broad swim platform and access to the engine room and crew quarters. More outdoor space is readily available on the flybridge, offering wrap around upholstered seating, a barbecue, a wet bar and a fridge, protected from the sun by a Bimini top.
Twin 1,350hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots and a range of 2,000 nautical miles.
Never chartered and with only one owner until now, Home James was asking $1,349,000.
