Edmiston invests in luxury brand Linley

The British financial pages announced this week that Jamie Edmiston of Edmiston & Company has invested in Linley the luxury furniture and accessories company founded by the Queen’s nephew, Viscount Linley. I called Jamie to ask if this means he’s leaving yachting?

“Absolutely not.” Says Jamie, “I remain 100% involved and committed to Edmiston and will remain a very active member of the company. The only thing that’s changed is that we have a top flight CEO in the form of Mark Cornell and this has allowed me the time to look at investments outside Edmiston”. He went on to say that “As you know, my passion is branding and Linley is a phenomenal brand. Craftsmanship is in the company’s DNA and my aim is to grow the company and create a British Hermes”.
