Edmiston sells 90m superyacht Lauren L

4 July 2010 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Great news as Rory Trahair at Edmiston & Company tells me that the 90m motor yacht Lauren L was sold on Friday, July 2nd with Jamie Edmiston, Burgess and Peter Insull representing the seller and Chris Cecil-Wright acting for the buyer.

Lauren L is currently number 33 in the world's top 200 largest yachts, as featured in The Register.

Built by Cassens Werft in 2002, she was bought by Liveras Yachts and refitted in 2008 as a thoroughly modern charter yacht, bridging the gap between a large superyacht and a small cruise ship. Germanischer Lloyds classed and MCA and SOLAS compliant, Lauren L sleeps 40 guests in 20 staterooms.

Special features include a presentation suite, cinema, library, grand piano bar and large saloons while the deck spaces are vast and can be set out with dining tables along with groups of sofas and armchairs.

Rory comments, "This is the latest in a long line of successes for Edmiston in 2010 and takes the total length of yachts sold where we represented the buyer, seller and/or both to over 1,000 metres." A joint listing between Edmiston, Burgess and Peter Insull's Yacht Marketing, Lauren L was asking €65 million and will be available for charter from August 1st through Edmiston.
