$1M price drop on Feadship motor yacht BG
by Malcolm Maclean
Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Feadship to a design by De Voogt and Lloyds classed, she was delivered in 1990 and was most recently refitted in 2015. The $6 million refit saw her receive a new ‘Hampton Beach House’ interior accommodating up to 12 guests in six generous cabins consisting of a full beam master suite and VIP suite on the main deck with four further guest cabins below deck, all with full en suite bathroom facilities.
The huge main saloon of this yacht for sale has comfortable seating with sensational views and adjoins a dining area with a rosewood table and a wine cellar containing 120 bottles. The upper deck offers a panoramic lounge containing a large bar, a captain's cabin with an office and the pilothouse forward. This has no wheel and instead navigation is controlled with joysticks and a computer. On the bridge deck aft, al fresco entertaining and dining are well catered for and guests can enjoy the latest movies on an outdoor projector screen.
Since her launch she has always been under the care of knowledgeable owners and professional crew who have lavished continual attention to upgrading and maintenance work. She has proven herself as a world cruiser from the Mediterranean to Tahiti, New Zealand, The Bahamas, Caribbean, Pacific and all points in between.
Now in turnkey condition following her refit, BG is powered by twin 905hp Caterpillar engines giving a cruising speed of 12 knots and she is fitted with zero speed stabilizers for added comfort.
On display at the upcoming Palm Beach yacht show, BG is now asking $13,900,000.
