I've been chasing this one for a while now but finally a call to Eric Pearson at Fraser Yachts in San Diego confirms that he acted for the buyer in the sale of the 38.87m sailing yacht Freedom with Allen Schiller at East Coast Yacht sales representing the seller in a joint listing with Burgess.
Freedom is a custom Sparkman and Stephens design crafted by Italian shipyard Picchiotti in 1986 and refitted in 2007. Designed for ultimate luxury afloat, her gleaming teak and elegant interiors allow space for 8 guests.
Her interior includes a tall saloon with large windows on both port and starboard sides. There is a spacious master cabin, with one double and two twin guest cabins below deck.
Eric says she'll retain the name for now and was asking $5.9 million.
