Heesen motor yacht Rocket sold

19 June 2017 • Written by Malcolm Maclean

The 49.8 metre motor yacht Rocket, listed for sale by Burgess, has been sold in an in-house deal.

Built in aluminium to ABS class by Dutch yard Heesen Yachts and designed by Omega Architects, Rocket was delivered in 2011 and has had only one owner. A bespoke interior by Domus Nova accommodates 12 guests in six cabins comprising a main-deck master suite, three doubles and two twins, all with 32-inch LCD television screens, entertainment centres and en-suite bathroom facilities. There is also accommodation for 10 crew in five cabins.

Rocket was asking €24,500,000

Burgess adds that this highly customised Heesen superyacht will be entering the charter market for the first time under her new ownership. Currently offering a unique design with bespoke features including a one-of-a-kind staircase, glass doors on the split-level sun deck designed to shield guests from the elements and a sizable Jacuzzi tub forward, there is little doubt she will be a popular charter choice.

Rocket completed her full five-year ABS survey in March/April 2016. Since delivery in June 2011, the hull was repainted under warranty in the winter of 2012/2013 at ITM, Marseille, while the transom door was repainted in April 2016. Twin 3,650hp MTU diesel engines give her a range of 3,200 nautical miles at 12 knots and she is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.

Rocket was asking €24,500,000.
