News now in from Richard Earp at Fraser Yachts that there's been a major €2.2 million reduction in the price of his central agency for sale, the 55.17m motor yacht Southern Cross III.

Southern Cross III was built by Japan's Nishi Zosen yard in 1986 to a design by Sterling Yachts and Jon Bannenberg and instantly became one of the best known and easily recognised superyachts in the world. Refitted in 2008, this superyacht is ABS classed and MCA compliant and her interior, designed to impress, has a grandeur that stuns newcomers.

Accommodating up to 15 guests in a master, four spacious double suites and two additional guest cabins, her twin MTU 4,600hp turbocharged diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 18 knots. Her price has come down from €14.2 million to €12 million.
