Merle Wood and Edmiston sell superyacht Ultima III

The good news that more and more superyacht owners are subscribing to this column gets even better as one writes in to tell me that the 57.3m motor yacht Ultima III was sold at the tail end of March. I contact her joint central agents, Edmiston & Company and Merle Wood & Associates but neither will comment, so it must be true.

Ultima III was built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1998 with exterior styling by Donald Starkey. Lloyds classed, her expansive interior means that this superyacht sleeps as many as 18 guests in a master, six doubles and a twin cabin and she has a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Ultima III was asking €39.9 million.
