More news from Monaco as OCI sells Celtic Dawn

Another good start to the day in Monaco as I talk to Axel Douque of Ocean Independence who tells me that he represented the buyer in the sale of Astondoa's 31.45m Celtic Dawn, a deal which closed at 10.01 am yesterday. Naturally this can't be ascribed to the effect of the show as the transaction represents a lot of work, but we've all been hoping that this week will bring good news.

Alex tells me that Jeroen Minnema in the Antibes office of OCI was the seller's agent and that the yacht will retain its name. Celtic Dawn was built in 2003 and refitted over a seven-month period in 2005. Accommodating eight guests in four cabins, her triple MTUs drive her through the water at 22 knots and her asking price had been set at €2.9 million.
