The 27.28 metre sailing yacht Spirit, listed for sale by Bart Kimman and Simon J Turner at Northrop & Johnson, has been sold with Alan Pickering at Pro Marine introducing the buyer.

Built in GRP by Finnish yard Nautor’s Swan to a design by German Frers, she was delivered in 1991 as the first Swan 90 model and had a thorough refit in 2014. Work on Spirit, performed by Yachting Developments in New Zealand, included the removal of the aft deck and cockpit, as well as a new cockpit seating arrangement under a semi-fixed Bimini top, plus the addition of twin wheels in place of the original single wheel.

Spirit was asking $1,250,000

A larger owner's cabin was installed aft, and accommodation on board was increased with the addition of a new guest cabin in the forward sail stowage area. All interior spaces were improved and reworked, with a light overall colour palette and furnishings.

Extended cruising can be enjoyed on Spirit due to the well-arranged modern interior offering fantastic levels of comfort for all onboard. The stylish accommodation and luxurious main saloon give the option to relax inside as well as on deck, and the galley and navigational space is suitable for professional use, providing a truly exclusive experience for guests on board.

The unidirectional carbon reinforcements in selected areas of the hull make for an extremely strong and fatigue resistant structure complementing the top of the range technology on board, allowing owners and crew to maximise the performance potential of the yacht when under sail.

Spirit offers comfortable accommodation in four cabins. These include a master cabin, two doubles and a twin plus two Pullman berths, and auxiliary power is provided by a single 292hp Volvo engine.

Spirit was asking $1,250,000.
