The news from bluewater is that Jimmy Broddesson has just signed the 50m Benetti Taiba for sale fresh from a €900,000 refit, and with an €800,000 price cut on her original asking price of €9.7 million.
One of Benetti's popular Golden Bay Series yachts, Taiba was built in 1997 with a steel hull and alloy superstructure. Her attractive exterior lines were drawn by Stefano Natucci, and she features an extremely large flybridge as well as a heli pad.
Sleeping 12 guests in a large owner's suite, a VIP and four spacious guest suites, Taiba has a classic, timeless interior by Francois Zuretti.
A pair of 2262hp MTU engines produce a crusing speed of 16-18 knots. Taiba has transatlantic range, but having always been in private use with only 5,000 hours on her engines she is in superb condition.
Lying in Italy, Taiba is asking €8.9 million.
