Ocean Independence and Atalanta sell Canados motor yacht Alea II

Toby Maclaurin at Ocean Independence tells me that his joint listing for sale with Atalanta Marine, the 27.46m motor yacht Alea II is now sold.

This marks the 39th sale in April 2014 and makes it by far the best month for yacht sales since the global financial meltdown in 2008.

Alea II was built by Italian yard Canados as a fast open sports model and delivered in 2009. Accommodation is for eight guests in a master suite, VIP stateroom and two twin cabins, and all staterooms have en suite bathroom facilities.

A high-performance superyacht, Alea II has a planing hull and twin 2,400hp MTU engines powering Arneson surface drives give her a cruising speed of 43 knots and a top speed of 48 knots.

Alea II was asking €1.49 million.
