Price drop on Benetti superyacht Checkmate at Northrop & Johnson

A call to Jonathan Chapman of Northrop and Johnson confirms a $400,000 price cut on the 47.5m 2013 Benetti Vision motor yacht Checkmate.

She's the 100th fibreglass yacht Benetti has built and features a number of design changes that distinguish her from her sisterships. Notably, Checkmate has much larger square hull ports for great views, a re-designed spacious skylounge with more windows, the addition of a day head on the sun deck, and a ‘contemporary chic’ but traditional custom Zuretti-designed interior, which utilises cherry and burr madrona woods and many types of Italian marble.

Within her striking black hull, Checkmate sleeps 12 guests in five staterooms and has separate accommodation for 10 crew. Twin Caterpillar engines enable a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of approximately 3,500 nautical miles, while zero-speed stabilisation ensures comfort.

On display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Checkmate is down from $24.9 million to $24.5 million.
