Superyacht brokers' regatta in Monaco this September

Russell Crump at Edmiston & Company calls to say that he and Neil Cheston at Camper & Nicholsons are organising a MYBA brokers' regatta between September 17th and 19th 2010.

The regatta will operate from the Monaco Yacht Club and will be sailed under the ISAF rule governing J24 fleet sailing rules. Each yacht will be crewed by a brokerage house or a yachting related industry to compete on courses set in in Olympic triangles, making for close quarters boat handling and busy mark roundings. The nature of these courses keeps all competitors within eyeshot of each other..

Importantly, each day's racing will be followed by a drinks and buffet gathering to create a social platform of informal broker networking prior to the following week's Monaco Yacht Show. After Saturday's race there'll be a Gala Dinner and Sunday's racing will finish early to hold a full prize giving ceremony at which the winning yacht will be awarded the Brokers Monaco Cup.
