Tim Quinlan at Nautor's Swan UK contacts me to say that there's been another price cut to his central listing, the 26.3m Nautor's Swan sailing yacht Maxtar. Originally asking €2.4 million, she was reduced to €1.69 million and is now offered at €1.295 million, a total saving of €1.105 million.
Delivered in 1989, Maxtar has been regularly maintained and a major refit in 2007 saw her receive new teak decks, new main engine and generator and numerous other equipment upgrades. Accommodating six guests in three staterooms she is, says Tim, perfect for longer distance cruises to the Pacific and beyond and could also serve as a charter yacht to offset running costs.
