Superyacht Sunny Hill for sale at Ocean Independence

18 March 2010 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

A call to Bjorn Vang-Mathisen at Ocean independence in Geneva for more details of his latest central agency for sale, the 36m motor sailor Sunny Hill, brings a wealth of information.

Sunny Hill was built by Holland’s De Amstel yard in 1987 as one of a fleet of three Colombaio charter yachts. This superyacht is currently completing a major rebuild in Wallhamn, Sweden and will hit the water in May 2010, just in time for the summer charter season. The entire main deck bridge and accommodation has been taken out and new panelling and furniture installed, with accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins.

Sunny Hill now sails forward as a fully restored vessel, true to her Northern European pedigree. The main deck and top of superstructure seating groups and spa pool areas are extremely attractive and inviting and one can immediately see why this famous Colombaio has always been a darling of discerning charterers.

Commercially registered, she can again provide charter guests with the tip-top standard they were used to on the original, or be reserved as a very pleasant, spacious and distinguished private yacht, undertaking long passages or leisurely bay and island cruises. The asking price is €6.5 million.
