After a comparatively quiet month on the yacht sales front, Neil Easterly in the San Diego office of Fraser Yachts brings the welcome news that Takapuna, the 34.14m Valdetarro motorsailer built in 1994 and refitted in 2005 has been sold. Her former owner used her to cruise isolated areas of the South Pacific, following the path of Robert Louis Stevenson and used these explorations as the basis of a book called “Treasure Islands”. Interestingly, of the six Valdetarro 34m’s built, only Takapuna has never been chartered. Meanwhile, Jan Jaap Minnema in the Monaco office was the listing agent in the sale of Moonen’s 26m Dolce Vita, launched in 1999.
